Kensington Gardens Bandstand

Description of Works:

We were appointed to carry out restoration work on a listed bandstand

located in Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park.

The works consisted of the following:

• Breaking out and rebuilding concrete steps with fair faced finish.
• Concrete repair work to the elevations of the bandstand plinth.
• Reduced level dig and paving of bandstand surround.
• Reinstatement of trenches for installed drainage runs.
• Installation of bound aggregate pedestrian footpath with steel edging.

• Installation of 180 square meters of resin bound surfacing.
• Installation of drainage, gullies, silt traps, gully gratings and connections to existing drainage.

• CCTV, patch repairs and rodding to existing drainage.
• Reduced level dig placement of topsoil and reseeding of 310 square meters of surrounding lawn.

The contract involves a significant amount of coordination with other specialist repair contractors
