Emergency Drainage Works

Description of Works:

We were appointed by our client to carry out emergency
investigation and remedial drainage works on a paper storage
warehouse.

Water ingress to the warehouse had caused substantial damage to
stock, after attending site on an emergency call out it was deemed
that due to exceptionally high rainfall the capacity of a drainage
gully which discharged to an adjacent was insufficient to handle to
the SW outflow from the downpipes, the gully subsequently
overflowed resulting in the water ingress.
Our site team carried out emergency works diverting the downpipe
outflow to a nearby SW Manhole using drainage pipe.
We were then engaged to carry out permanent alterations to the
SW drainage by installing underground drainage runs diverting
each downpipe directly to the nearby surface water manhole.
All necessary consents and permissions were sought prior to works
taking place and work was delivered to program and the clients
satisfaction.
