Cargo Storage Yard Resurfacing

Description of Works:

We were appointed to resurface a container storage yard at Sheerness Port. Works included preparation of the existing surface to provide a suitable subgrade and resurfacing the area to provide a level, free draining surface suitable for the storage of cargo containers.

The work was carried out in a live cargo storage yard presenting a number of logistical challenges regarding phasing of the cargo bay surfaces at times when they were not in use and managing the segregation of the work area via a permit to work system. Work was completed according to program to the clients satisfaction. We have since won and are tendering for a number of additional contracts after developing a collaborative and constructive working relationship with the client.
